Having spent the better half of a decade with Saward Dawson, Luke has developed a diverse portfolio of clients in an array of industries. Small to medium-sized businesses are his passion, and he has extensive experience with and knowledge of their tax compliance requirements.

Nothing brings Luke greater joy than seeing clients thrive alongside his custom style of accounting support, uniquely tailored to suit each individual client. Business advisory covers a plethora of compliance areas at Saward Dawson, and Luke’s experience in areas of goods and services tax, capital gains tax, international business compliance, payroll, accounting software packages and much more, enables him to have a positive impact on clients no matter their needs.

Luke lives his life in business advisory by the philosophy that ‘good advice, is advice which doesn’t require an accounting degree to understand.’ He endeavours to ensure that all his clients understand the advice they need to achieve their goals, regardless of their knowledge on tax compliance matters.

Internally, Luke is heavily involved in the training and development of our junior accountants in business advisory services, devoted to equipping the future of Saward Dawson with the necessary knowledge and communication skills they need to assist our clients in the same manner that he strives to every day.

Interests

A teacher in and out of the office, Luke’s love for languages led him to teach English and German as a private tutor for almost a decade. He also speaks Japanese!
Luke has also been an avid Pokémon collector for over 25 years and has even competed in International Tournaments!
In his downtime, he enjoys creative writing, painting, teaching, brushing up his language skills and travelling.

Favourite Holiday Destination:

Germany and Japan are close to home and heart. Travelling to the ancestral homeland is always a heart-warming experience, but nothing quite beats back-to-back ramen and karaoke nights with his former language students all over Japan!
