Marketing and Communications Coordinator

We have an opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team at Saward Dawson.

This exciting new position is ideal for a confident and enthusiastic professional wanting a challenge and new opportunities. We are looking for someone who works autonomously and can work with our graphic designer to create written content.

This role is crucial to building connections with our current and future clients.

With a strong emphasis on writing and coordinating branded content, we are seeking a competent writer with impeccable attention to detail to engage with both internal and external channels such as our website, social media and email marketing.

Our team of 85 + employees, delivers services in the areas of audit & assurance, business advisory, wealth advisory, personal taxation and superannuation, as well as business, taxation and not-for-profit advisory and consulting.

 

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation: Utilising technology and professional skills to write clear, concise, and engaging content focused on accounting, tax, finance, and related topics for website, email newsletters, and social media.

Research: Conduct thorough research on accounting and finance-related topics to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and depth.

SEO: Implement SEO best practices to increase web traffic, including keyword research and on-page optimization techniques.

Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for grammar, style, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring it adheres to industry standards and regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, professional staff, and other stakeholders to develop content that supports marketing campaigns, client communications, and educational initiatives.

Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of content strategies that align with business goals and audience needs within the accounting sector.

Analytics: Monitor and analyse the performance of content to make data-driven decisions and improvements.

 

About You

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain financial concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Ability to leverage technology to maximise efficiency
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content marketing tools.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp industry-specific topics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Experience and Qualifications

Education: Relevant qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: Experience (minimum 12 months) in marketing/communications, preferably within professional services.

A candidate with finance or accounting experience looking to transition to a marketing career would also be considered

 

Work Environment

Location: In-house (with flexibility), Saward Dawson office, Blackburn

Hours: Part-time or full time (3-5 days)
