Encouraging young achievers - 2017
The Victorian Young Achiever Awards acknowledge, encourage and promote the positive achievements of young Victorians. The Awards recognise the achievements of Victoria's youth (up to 28 years of age) in six categories, with one of the category winners being named the Victorian Premier's Young Achiever of the Year. We are pleased to partner with the Victorian Young Acheiver Awards again this year in sponsoring the Community Service and Social Impact Award. This award celebrates young people who make a significant contribution through community service or social justice initiatives.
Along with other sponsors such as 7 News, Prime 7, Bank of Melbourne, Jetstar, First National Real Estate and the Coffee Club, we were recently represented by Peter Shields at the offical launch.
The Saward Dawson Community Service and Social Impact Award celebrates young people who make a significant contribution through community service or social justice initiatives. The award recognises individuals who are dedicated to the care of others, excel in their community sector profession or field of employment and those who seek innovative solutions to addressing social issues.
They offer hope, education, care and support to those in their care. Whether it be for service provision, those in need, cultural and community support, health and well being, emergency services, academia or education, they make a difference.
These young people are not only at the forefront of caring and accomplishment, but are contributing to the community by achieving their goals through hard work and perseverance and they are wonderful role models for us all.
